Premier Division
Kelvedon Hatch lost their second game in a row on Tuesday evening when a goal from Simon Stone gave hosts Harold Wood Athletic a 1 – 0 win. This defeat ended Kelvedon hopes of winning the league.
Mountnessing travelled to Frenford Senior on the back of a 4 – 1 win at the weekend but went down to the same score following goals from Neil Grant, David Gipp, Danny Demetriou and Andy Dore. Warren Bennett got the only reply.
A brace from Steve Bennett and Steve Moss strike gave Galleywood their first win since February when they beat Benfleet 3 – 1. Darren Godfrey scored for the visitors.
White Ensign failed to tie up the championship title after a solitary goal from Matt Dilliway saw Benfleet record a 1 – 0 home win.
Canning Town travelled to Bishops Stortford Swifts for what was their home match, but playing it away made no difference as goals from Liam Egan, Wayne Mahoney, Ashley Richards-Neville and Paul Henry gave Town a 4 – 0 victory and increased Swifts relegation worries.
Takeley recorded the highest win of the season at Shell Club Corringham with the home side going down 11 – 1.
James Amott hit a hat-trick while Josh Coulson, Scott Forbes, Greg Hughes and Chris Bullock scored two each. Andrew McNaney scored Shells only reply
Senior Division One
On Wednesday evening goals from Chris Jones, Peter Burdiss, Steven Barlex, Daniel Bates and Billy Munroe gave M & B Club a 5 - 2 win at Ryan F.C. and secured promotion for their club. Mark Jennings scored both the home sides goals.
On Saturday the Benson brothers both found the net in Rayleigh Towns 4 – 1 win at home to Ongar Town. Neil Benson scored twice and Gary Benson once while a Simon Blake goal made up the total. Steven Read scored for Ongar Town
In the relegation battle at Leytonstone United it was Springfield who ran out winners 3 – 0 after two goals from Stuart Lilley and an Aaron Gothard singleton. This win leaves Springfield needing three points from two games to ensure their survival.
Sandon Royals won their last game of the season when they travelled to Ryan F.C. and won 3 – 2. Mark Wilds and Kenny McMeechan scored for Ryan while Ryan Baxter, Ben Clark and Richard Witham scored for Sandon
Senior Division Two
Tuesday evening saw Hannakins Farm move back on top after a 3 – 1 win at Basildon Town. James Wackett scored for Town with Paul Duggan getting a hat-trick for Hannakins Farm.
Ramsden recorded their second away win in four days when they won 4 – 1 at Hutton. A brace from Danny Williams and singletons from Gary Williams and Ryan Casey secured the points while Lukas Hall scored for Hutton.
Wins on Saturday for Hannakins Farm and Linford Wanderers secured both teams their promotion.
James Dwyer, Harrison McHale and Lee Guiver scored the goals that gave Linford Wanderers a 3 – 0 win at Writtle while Rob Brady and Paul Duggan scored the goals that gave Hannakins Farm a 2 – 1 home win against Upminster whose goal came from Phil Davison.
There were plenty of goals at Ramsden with the home side overcoming Barnston 6 – 4. Graeme Turner scored twice and Carl Powell and Paul Layzell one each for the visitors with Luke Dorman and Tom Rees both hitting two and Gary Williams and James Hosier one each for Ramsden.
The match was also very tight at Broomfield with Elliott Walker scoring twice and Steve Andrease once for the hosts, but a pair from Luke Hall and one each from Adrian Topps and Geoff Prent secured Hutton a 4 – 3 victory.
Adam Green scored both the goals that gave Runwell Hospital a 2 – 1 home win against Great Baddow for whom Matt Hall scored while at Metpol Chigwell it took an Alex Smith goal to give Basildon Town a 1 – 0 victory.
