Reserve Division Match Reports


Premier Division

Buckhurst Hill started life in the top division with a home match against Frenford Senior and despite a Dave Burnage goal it was the visitors who took the points from a 2 – 1 win after goals from David Gipp and Danny Driscoll

Senior Division One

After their mid-week draw two goals from Shaun Farnum gave Aldborough Athletic a 2 – 1 win at home to Lakeside whose goal came from Nick Judd.

Old Chelmsfordians travelled to Hannakins Farm and took home a point from a 1 – 1 draw. Lee Fisher scored for Hannakins and Rob Jennings for O.C.'s

Hutton went 3 – 0 up at home to Ryan F.C. through Lucas Hall, Mitchell Lowes and Cole Baldwin but two goals in the last 10 minutes from Graham Eagle made the final score a close 3 – 2.

Dave Browne hit the back of visitors Thurrock Reserves net after just 15 seconds as Southminster St. Leonards won 4 – 1. Kris Sayers, Tim Rice and another Dave Browne goal made up the total with Daryl McNamara getting the consolation goal for Thurrock.

Senior Division Two

Danny Steel scored as Herongate Athletic maintained their 100% record winning 1 – 0 at Broomfield on Saturday.

New team Waltham Abbey Reserves started their season with a 6 – 2 win at home to Roydon. Mark Watkins and Jose Fernandes scored for the visitors and Jack Hayter hit two and Jack Marion, Stephen Cawley and Kurt Freasey shared the other Abbey goals.

Leigh Ramblers were the visitors to Takeley Reserves and went home with the points after a 1 - 0 victory.

Newly promoted Wadham Lodge won at home against Burnham Ramblers Reserves 5 – 0 thanks to goals from Josh Sykes, Joe Harding, Jermaine McLean and Daniel Tulloch with two.

Callum Dodkins and Michael Archer got one each as Forest Glade beat visitors Stansted Reserves 2 – 0.

Matthew Gladman scored two and Chris Whiskin and Harry Yearling one each as Maldon St. Mary won 4 – 0 at home to Leytonstone United.

Senior Division Three

Catholic United made it two away wins in a row when they travelled to Bowers & Pitsea Reserves and goals from Richard Buscombe on 50 minutes and Adam Moore on 56 minutes gave them a 2 – 1 win. Aaron Nokes scored for the hosts after 80 minutes.

In a tight match at Old Southendians the host beat Debden Sports 4 – 3. Danny Read scored all the Debden goals with goals from Max Rafuse with two, Dan Stannard and an own goal making up the Old boys total.

Jack Main and Chris Charlery scored for Basildon Town as they won 2 – 1 at Sawbridgeworth Town Reserves. Matthew Best scored for the hosts.
